Change Cabin Air Filter of Nissan Sentra

The Nissan Sentra makes use of an in-cabin microfilter to confine the entry of airborne dust and pollen in to the passenger compartment. Nissan recommends replacing the cabin air filter on the Sentra every year or after each 15,000 miles driven. If the Sentra is often driven under extreme conditions, such as in dusty environments or around heavy traffic, the microfilter becomes dirty quickly. A neat cabin air filter helps the air in the air conditioning process stay cleaner and improves air flow through the vents. The location of the filter varies depending on the model year.

Open your glove box door. Look inside the compartment, toward the rear. You'll see hinge pins on each side). Support the glove box door with hand; pull the pins inward with the other. The glove box door will release; ease it down to access the area behind it.

Lift the hood of the Nissan. Locate the air filter housing unit along the driver's side of the automobile, near the middle of the side.

Pry the trim panel toward the accelerator pedal to remove it. Apply even pressure around the whole trim panel to keep away from damaging it.

Unscrew and remove the screws located on the top latch of the glove compartment. Slide the latch toward the front of the Sentra to remove it.
